  • MacOS – /Users/username/Music
  • Windows XP – C:\Documents and Settings\username\My Documents\My Music
  • Windows Vista – C:\Users\username\Music
  • Windows 10, 8, 8.1 or 7 – C:\Users\username\My Music

Step 2 :

Follow above path on a respective PC system to locate the original iTunes Library.itl file location.

Step 3 :

Now, make sure to delete the entire library file of iTunes from here. Just select the file and hit the Delete button to remove the file from the iTunes library.

Step 4 :

After removing this file from the iTunes library, just relaunch the iTunes back on your system.

Step 5 :

You could see that the files and other tracks are not available on the front page of the library as we have just deleted them from the system. Music files will be still available in the iTunes my music section.

Step 6 :

To add music and folders back to the iTunes library, you just need to drag and drop the folders. This is how you can bring back the files and other music tracks which are deleted to remove the error from the iTunes.
