Method 1 : By disabling contact storage

Step 1 :

First, go to your phone’s Apps menu and select Settings app.



Step 2 :

Settings app will show you a number of options with which we can make any changes to our device.

Scroll it down and kindly select Apps option or Application Manager. Kindly select this option.



Step 4 :

You’ll see all apps and games installed on your device with storage options and other useful details of them. Find out the Contacts app from here.

Step 5 :

Open Contacts and then select Clear data.

Step 6 :

After this, kindly select Force stop option given on the same page.

Step 7 :

After making these changes, you need to Reboot/ Restart your device.

If the problem or error still persists, kindly disable contact storage option.

This will probably fix the error from your Android device. Although, this this isn’t fixed yet, you can follow one more method. You can do some more tweaks to fix this error within the Settings panel.

Method 2 : By disabling App Preferences

Step 1 :

Kindly go to your Apps menu and select Settings option. This will present you Settings menu of your Android.

Step 2 :

You need to scroll it down and select Application Manager or Apps option from here.

Step 3 :

You can see three dots at the upper right corner of the screen. You need to tap it out.

Now, you can see a list of options from which you need to select Reset App Preferences option.

After this, you are requested to Restart or Reboot your device once.

Method 3 : By uninstalling the app

Step 1 :

First, you need to open the Apps menu and then select the Settings option from the Apps list.

Step 2 :

You’d see a list of options from which you need to select Apps or Application Manager option.

You’d see all available Apps and Games here. Kindly select an app which shows the error on your phone.

You’d see an Uninstall button on the page. Select it out and kindly Uninstall this app from your device.

Now, make sure to disable Google + app from your device. Just go to Google + app and select Force Stop to disable the app.

Reinstall the app that was giving you an error.

Now, you can enable the Google + app back on your phone.

If you still are getting the error even after following the above methods, you need to Reset your phone. Following steps will guide you on resetting your device.



Method 4 : Backup and Reset your phone

Step 1 :

First, go to the Settings menu from your Android. Go to Apps menu and launch Settings app.

Step 2 :



Now, from the available options kindly scroll it down till you see Backup and Reset option.

Step 3 :

Once you select this option, you need to read the instructions very carefully. You’ll be asked to take backup of your phone from here. Once you are fully agreed to go on, kindly scroll it down where you’d see a Reset Device button.

Select Reset Device button from this page.

Step 5 :

Your device will be Reset and you could see the progress of it. Your device will reboot a couple of times during the process.

You’re done! The error will be solved now and you will no longer see it on your device.
